Host Family Interviews
Your local coordinator will review your application and contact you to schedule a program orientation session and interview. During this meeting you and your coordinator will meet face to face and you have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have. You will also discuss your specific childcare needs in order to help us match you with an au pair who fits your family's lifestyle.

Au Pair Matching
Au pair matching is done by our placement coordinators and not automated by a computer. This ensures that you receive personal attention and that we meet the needs of your family. We identify those qualities in an au pair that are important to you, and send you the most appropriate au pair applications for you to review.

Host Families Make the Final Decision
Once you see an au pair you think is a match for your family, you'll speak with the potential au pair on the phone at least twice. Our Handbook for Host Families and Au Pairs offers suggested questions. If you and the au pair agree to match, let us know, and we will start making arrangements for your au pair¡¯s arrival. Remember, your family always has the final say in choosing an au pair.
